10 week training experience in small scale sustainable forestry and coppice management with Ben Law.
The training includes a weeks chainsaw training and assessment for CS30 and 31 with John Ryder of the Woodcraft School.
The applicant will be able to stay in a cabin at Prickly Nut Wood for the 10 weeks and will be involved with the management of both sweet chestnut coppice and hazel coppice. The opportunity allows the applicant to refine their felling skills in a working coppice whilst being overseen by an experienced woodsman and learn more about the sustainable management of small woodlands. Areas of adding value to felled material and marketing will be included.
