This course provides instruction into preparation, loading and burning in a ring kiln to create charcoal.
Species of wood, length of seasoning, lay out of kiln and control of air vents will all be covered and the kiln will be lit early evening and burnt through the night.
It is essential to camp on the night of the burn to ensure overnight chimney changes and any necessary night time checks.
The course will finish with and bagging of the finished product and marketing advice.
